Data related to a person’s birthday is considered personally identifiable information (PII) and needs to be treated accordingly. Users can easily opt-in or opt-out of this feature by navigating to their profile and editing their Birthday or Anniversary date value which will determine if a card should be created and sent to the employee.
In addition to user controls, the cards that are sent to employees are only viewable by the employee to protect their privacy.
It is strongly advised by Limeade, that any organization that uses these cards get specific consent for using this data from their employees prior to enabling this feature. Adding or Updating Limeade ONE employee consents can be easily done via the Tenant Administration under Tenant Admin > Consents. Limeade is not responsible for the misuse of this PII data by customers.
Organizations that want to automatically add this data on behalf of their users can use the Limeade profile synchronization capability. Consult with a strategic account executive (SAE) for further details on profile data synchronization.
