How do I configure writer permissions?

To configure writer permissions, start by clicking on User Writer Permissions under the Permissions dropdown.

The Approval section has two checkboxes, Can approve/deny messages or Requires approval, which dictates whether writers can post content without any prior approval or have the ability to approve or deny content from other writers (if they require approval). Please note that neither of these boxes need to be checked for a user.

The Message Type dictates what type of messages writers are allowed to send you. News posts, Confirmation posts (which require a yes or no answer) or Polls (which require multiple answers). The best practice is for all three of these boxes to be checked for a writer.

Lastly, Options dictates any additional features for messages. With these permissions, writers can do things such as mark messages as Important, Send push notifications and Enable sharing. As with Message Type, the best practice is to check all of these boxes.
