Federal law allows Limeade to disclose a limited amount of information (for example, name and participation status) to a health plan sponsored by an employer for the purpose of administering benefits. The employer-sponsor of the health plan must designate a limited number of employees who are responsible for administering the health plan on the employer's sponsor’s behalf and who are therefore authorized by law to receive the information from Limeade.
Federal law prohibits these designated employees from using or disclosing information other than to administer benefits under the plan. The employer-sponsor must also implement numerous safeguards to prevent any unauthorized use or disclosure of information.
